Covid Communication

The following page has been designed to provide as much information as possible for parents regarding the September return to school. There is lots to take in so we have split the information into differernt sections. If you have any queries or concerns please get in touch via phone (01132 930314) or email (info@tnhps.org). Staff will be out on the playgrounds each morning and at the end of the day to welcome children and help with drop off and pick up arrangements. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding and hope that you will support us in keeping everyone safe.

Risk Assessment

Below you will find the link to the Red Kite risk assessment. This document gives specific details about what has been put in place to keep children, parents and staff safe in accordance with the recommendations from public health England and the government guidelines.

Coming into School - Drop off and pick up

As you will know from letters sent out in the holiday, the school will be operating staggered start and finish times. This will enable us to have fewer adults and children around the school site at any one time to support social distancing and to keep everyone safe. We would ask that parents wait outside of the school gates when you arrive to drop off or collect your children. A member of staff will open the gates at the specified time for each year group. Children and one parent can then come onto the playground to drop off or collect before leaving via the 'out' gate (these will be clearly signposted). We would kndly ask that parents do not stay on the playground for any longer than needed so that we are ready for the next set of children to drop off/pick up.

To support this we have included a short video showing the routines for drop off and collection for each year group. Please be patient, the video can take a while to load and apologies for some of the sound quality, it was very windy when I filmed!

Processes and Procedures

Please find below a Red Kite flow chart giving the guidance and procedures for what will happen in a suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus in school.

Classroom Photos

Below are some photographs of the classrooms ready for September. In them you can see how tables and furniture have been organised to maintain social distancing as much as possible.

Please note that due to the building work Mrs Clough's Year 1 classroom photo is missing. The layout will be very similar to the other Year 1 class.
